Sadiqah Jihad and Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah Winfrey: Good afternoon everyone and thanks for coming. We have a wonderful special guest today. She’s my biggest fan, lives in Minneapolis, Mn. and is a senior at Mpls south high school. I’ll let her introduce herself, Ladies and gentlemen please give it up for Sadiqah Jihad.
(Audience clapping, and sadiqah walks out with a huge smile on her face. Hugs Oprah before she sits down)
Sadiqah Jihad: hi everyone
Oprah: welcome Sadiqah, are you nervous?
Sadiqah: yes sorry I’m shaking I’m not use to anything like this
Oprah: it’s ok just take a deep breath relax and tell us a little about you
(Sadiqah closes her eye’s inhales, and exhale, and then open her eyes)
Sadiqah Jihad: ok I’m 18 yrs old; I live north Minneapolis Minnesota with my loving mother Amey Douglas and two dogs Snow and Bella. I have 4 siblings Angel, Shakeel, Fateemah, and Laqresha. I walk the halls of Mpls south senior high school. I’ve loved Oprah for forever. I love coming home watching Oprah at 4:00 P.M on channel 4 everyday of the week.
Oprah: so what about if someone’s homes watching something before you arrive?
Sadiqah: Oprah that’s really funny because my big sister favorite Show is law in order in which also comes on at 4:00 P.M. We fought a couple times over it but no matter who’s home or what someone is watching I will always get the big screen T.V at 4:00 P.M
Oprah: that’s really funny. I really didn’t think my show was that serious to fight over.
Sadiqah: seriously? OPRAH I will kill for your show.
Oprah: yes I don’t want to hear about nobody getting sent to jail over my T.V show
Sadiqah: Oprah you just don’t understand
(Oprah laughs and puts her head in her hands)
Oprah: ok Sadiqah so what’s your favorite Episode?
Sadiqah: everyone is.
Oprah: you’re so sweet
Sadiqah: thank you, but all your shows are awesome. The two I really enjoyed were when you found out about your sister and brought her and your niece and nephews on your show. The second one is when you were going around giving everyone gifts and especially when you surprised your best friend on her birthday.
Oprah: so tell us why you wanted to attend my show today?
Sadiqah: honestly I wish I can attend your show every day. You’re the best I swear I love your personality. Your heart is full with blessings. You’re always giving and setting your mind on others more than yourself. I wish my heart was big as yours. You inspire me the most.
(Oprah get teary eyed and hesitates to speak)
Oprah: you leave me speechless sadiqah thank you so much. Ok everyone were going to take a break and be back in 5

Writing challenge #4
Being arrested and just unsure since you’re out at night you just start assuming other things. Really you can be just getting arrested to see if you knew anything about the group of people you were seen with earlier or since you matched the description of some other person that they were looking for, or a old crime you committed and forgot all about.
Usually when you get arrested the police warn you bye saying, “Anything you say will be used against you”. Asking the officer what did you do is what most likely everyone ask, but when you start saying I didn’t do nothing, that wasn’t me, and so on it gives the police officer thoughts that your guilty of something. You will be better off saying nothing at all unless the officer asks a question. Saying too much is way worst than saying less.
My cousin was arrested last year his first year being in MN for playing basketball in the park. The officers just slammed him on the ground while yelling “everyone get on the ground now”. All my cousin said was “sir this hurts” and his face was kneed to concrete. I sat there on the bench since the girls were told to sit still, and watching all the blood surround his face. After my cousin and I was searched and told to leave we started walking straight home and he continued to say he didn’t feel good while I was speed walking talking to myself repeating Minneapolis police aren’t right and thinking my mom is going to go crazy. On the block of my house my cousin fainted.
I told my mom part bye part while she sat crying in the emergency room. “All he said was sir these cuffs hurt” and you can see all blood. My mom has a case on them police officers. If im not mistaken she’s still going through with her lawsuit on them. I’m not allowed to play out on the back of parks anymore, and my cousin moved back to Vegas with my grandma. Whether my cousin said nothing he was still knocked to the floor, but saying to little is enough and the same as saying too much and was treated even worse.

WRITING CHALLENGE #2
In need of a new coach, but not age and gender plays a huge role.
Ahmil Jihad has been named as a possible replacement for the recently fired Kurt Rambis, the head coach of the Minnesota Timber Wolves. Rambis was fired after beating a team by 33 points. It wasn’t just any team it was the Miami Heat.
The heat was suppose to win it all with LeBron James, and Dwayne Wade doing there duo. Rambis was the happiest man alive to stop the heat from dominating everyone in the conference. It was a very upset lost to the heat especially they were undefeated and the wolves haven't won 1 game in the past year and with in the last 37 games.
After that long night Rambis got a call 4 a.m that morning saying he's fired for that big tragedy. He was confused the most because he thought he was getting a call about getting a raised since he made something happen that hasn't been done in years. They told him he was getting replaced by a grade school teacher that’s been teaching women’s basketball for the past 7 yrs. they even gave Rambis the choice to resign or get fired either way he wasn’t going to be working for them any more.
Once they finally called Ahmil Jihad about the job he was shocked. They brought cameras and everything up to his women’s basketball practice just to show they were serious. Ahmil told them at first that everything was so sudden; butt gave a final answer before they left. "I am really grateful for getting this chance and opportunity, but working with the wolves is too much and they beat my favorite team. I would rather teach my girls basketball and work in the school district". After he spoke million and millions of questions started rolling in which only sounded like a bunch of noise.
The next morning first page of star tribune was Ahmil with his women’s basketball team behind him and the Timberwolves behind them.

WRITING CHALLENGE #1
Finally reaching the welcome to MN sign, I was so happy to know home was only a couple cities away. But knowing I needed to put my winter jacket on before I left the van was another story. Pulling up in my driveway feeling the cool breeze, getting out of the Minnie van stretching my legs from 24 hour drive awe what a relief. Legs aching, back hurting, foot asleep, and much more complaining. I must have gone to and from the van a million times suit case after duffle bag after extra bags until my whole back seat area was empty from crap.
It was my best spring break yet with beautiful weather, lovely sunsets, and the most amazing sight. Daytona Beach couldn’t have been more fun I was making sand castles, catching rays, and getting tan. I had my Dora bucket and scoopers making everything thing possible. Chilled and laid on my Dora the explorer beach towel letting the sun beam right on my skin. Ate ice cream and stayed there for about 6 or 7 hrs.
The next day I want to universal studios and road on a couple rides since I’m afraid of heights. Visited sherk in 4D, twister in 2D, and got Ms. Allery initials with a breast cancer symbol in henna on my arm. I danced took allot of pictures with Dora and her cousin Diego they even made me cry I was happy and scared at the same time. Scooby took a picture with me and hugged me really tight and once he heard I was scared he chased me until I screamed in which didn’t take very long. Curious George was the only character that didn’t scare me and that happen maybe because I didn’t stand close at all in fact I was an arm length away. The funnel cake was huge in fact the birds were surrounding us while we were eating making loud noises.
Last but not least we went to Disney world and forgot where we parked. I made Disney Mickey mouse ears that have 2011 graduate on it with a tassel. I ate lots of Mickey snacks. There real food was very expensive so I only ate French fries. Drove the race cars, and road 1 ride that I screamed until I couldn’t scream anymore the rides wait was at least 30 to 40 min. I cried when I seen captain jack from the pirates of the Caribbean. He looked so real and sounded just like him. All the Disney characters came out any performed a show for everyone while I sat front seat on the curve.
My trip couldn’t have been more awesome I think everyone should get a chance to visit Florida once in their life time it was a trip I’ll never forget "That was some adventure, huh?"

BLOG #10 They'll Say, "She Must Be From Another Country" (Imtiaz Dharker)
Blog post:
Were at the point of filming a little more but I think we need to start taking visits to MTN so we can start getting our final project together.
Reading Response:
This poem was very different and deep. I like poems like this just because they have deep understandings. This poem was just about the different kinds of humans living on this god green earth. And how people today criticize so much just because there not the same as them. People go from judging by the way someone walks, to how they talk, to how they dress, and even who they hang with. Categorizing people has been around from years and maybe if people took time to learn there and others cultures/ backgrounds it wouldn’t be this big misunderstanding

BLOG #9 Defending Freedom And Freedom Of Speech
Blog post:
Lately our group has been distant, but I know Fatima been telling me the ideas of what we need to film next. Fatima checked out a camera Friday so now we should be filming very soon.
Reading Response:
This article made me think of freedom of speech and not be able to express my opinions. I think not being able to have my opinion, and to follow one source of media is crazy. In this reading they mention that even though we here in America have the right and freedom to express ourselves, many of us don’t and that because were either scared of what others might say or were following some sort of trend and scared of society. This is truly sad when the ones who have the freedom don’t use it as much as we probably should. Everyone deserves freedom, no matter what.

BLOG #7 A BED FOR THE NIGHT (Bertold Brecht)
Blog post:
We have allot of footage we just need to cut allot of it down and put everything together. Most of our work is interviews so I hope it doesn’t bore everyone.
Reading Response:
Someone that made a meaningful social change is Oprah she is one lovely person that inspires me. She grew up with a very poor family. In which so poor that her mom gave up her sister for adoption because she knew she wasn’t going to be able to feed her whole family. Oprah is the most giving and loving person today. She visits and gives to Africa. Every time she has a show everyone in the audience is getting something for free. She supports cancer, homeless, starving children, families in need, just about everyone you can think of. I watch Oprah every chance I get if I’m at home from 4:00 P.M to 5:00. what strikes me the most is no one has to tell Oprah to give her money away we all know she's rich and famous, with no kids, a husband, and a couple nieces and nephews. She could be greedy and just be sitting on all that money, but instead building schools and caring for others.
